You gave me a glimpse so small,
hidden by a flimsy scrap of some fabric of some color, which my mind could not focus upon.
It was just a tiny shimmer in the christmas lights that serve as year-round ambience in our home,
but the play of those blues and greens and purples on the softness of your skin
was a maddening force that blocked off my senses to anything else.
Meteors could have claimed the sky,
and the Titanic could have sailed majestically down our street and
I would not have noticed,
could not have cared.
I knealt to show my appreciation,
to drink from this font so enchanting,
so alluring.
Your flesh destoyed the world
once again that night.
Obliterated time and space,
physics and quantum mechanics.
Surely no cold fusion,
nor antimatter reaction
could have this much power.
I prayed to Aphrodite at
the alter of your hips.
I sang praises to Artemis's beloved beacon
upon your lips.
I, always the dilligent soul,
would not rise until
the subtle tremors became
undeniable quakes,
until the smooth alabaster of your skin
puckered and blushed.
You reached for me,
brought me to you so complete.
You licked the traces of
my personal aphrodisiac from my lips,
and clutched me in your depths.
Your tremors returned and bore a new quake
that resonated from you
into me,
making me motionless and ceasing
time's incessant flow.
We fell to sheets afterward,
and the night's minions,
sleep and dream,
captured us and held us prisoner
until Sun and birds roused my eyes,
reminding me of the abandonment
of the previous night's activities.
I arranged our world into readiness
for the day to come,
and surrendered myself again
to slumber and
the temple of your flesh.
